Note: this spell is performed with an altar set in traditionally Wiccan fashion. Future posts will outline configuration types.
Perform your incantation on a Monday at Midnight, during either a waxing or full moon. For preparation, a nice cup of lemon tea or some pumpkin helps to connect better with the moon.
To start, encircle your space with:
- rose petals
- vervain
- yarrow root
- mugwort
make sure to save some herbs for later. Direct your altar, and yourself, to face west. In the center of your circle, chant/whisper/say the incantation:
The sun's asleep, Mother Moon, arise
Hearken, now, the night's alive
I've come to you at day's dying hour
To seek the ability to harness your power
continue with:
Mother Moon, rise, the power churns from the toes
As we speak in enchantment, the true heathen's prose
Maiden, virgin the youthful sprite
